How Pusha T vs. Drake Begins :: Infared Daytona

Artist: Pusha T
Track Name: Infared
AH Track Rating:

Off his latest album, produced by Kanye West himself, Pusha T ignited the ‘latest’ of hip hop’s historical rap beefs. It’s pretty amazing to me, because I actually didn’t ‘feel’ like Pusha T was aiming this Infared at anybody specific. I mean, the whole game is fucked up right now with Ghost Writers being, actually accepted. It’s crazy to think that it’s come to this point.

How could you even right these wrongs, when you don’t even write your songs….

That’s where this all begins. I guess, Drake heard these verses, and got emotional. He really should not have stepped int he ring. But, to be honest with you all, I ‘actually’ told my cousin who ‘sent’ me the back to back tracks, that Drake bodied him. I mean, that’s really how I felt at first ………

More on that in a minute; For now take in How Pusha T. vs. Drake Begins, with Infared off Pusha’s latest album, Daytona.

Reviewing the song by itself is difficult for me because of how it was introduced to me. But, I give it about 3 lit fires, because it’s short, to the point, and lyrically on point. But it felt like an intro track, which it very well could be. With another verse, could have easily gotten a couple more fires out of me….

I done flew it, I done grew it, been a conduit
Moynat bags on my bitches, I done blew it
See through it, neck, igloo it
Habla en espaƱol, I “y tu” it
Let Steven talk streamin’ and Shazam numbers
I’ll ensure that you gettin’ every gram from us
Let’s cram numbers, easily
The only rapper sold more dope than me was Eazy-E
How could you ever right these wrongs
When you don’t even write your songs?
But let us all play along
We all know what niggas for real been waitin’ on
Push – Infared, Daytona

*quick update from May 19, 2020 – This ‘beef’ may have just been to push record sales.

It ended as fast as it began. Drake came with Duppy. If we are to believe reports from TMZ, and these comments from J. Prince, the beef was ended to ensure everyone can still eat. Drake supposedly had another response but kept it silent. All parties involved ended it pretty quickly. Peep out our review of Kanye West single No Mistakes for more.
