I won&#8217;t beat around the bush &#8211; this album gets 4 LIT FLAMES just for answering our title question. What if 2pac made an album with MF DOOM? <strong>What would that album sound like?<\/strong> All questions answered, in what is a beautiful blending of 2pac&#8217;s raw lyrics, over MF DOOM&#8217;s smoothly rugged beats.<\/p>\n<h2>Dare I say, This Makavillian mixtape Album, is a Match made in Heaven?!<\/h2>\n<p><iframe title=\"2 Pac + MF DOOM  -  Makavillain (Side 1) 2018\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GsFyjLcF1uE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h6>(<em>**Update 12\/18\/18 &#8211; &#8216;side 1&#8217; is no longer available so this slot was updated with the Full album; there is no &#8216;review&#8217; at this time for side 2 of this masterpiece &#8211; so feel free to share your thoughts on side 2 below; The rest of the original review of Makavillain is below &#8212;&#8211;\u00a0 *** Update 9\/15\/2022 &#8212; We found another upload of this Side 1; **** <\/em>)<\/h6>\n<p>Released in what appears to be early in 2017, Makavillain takes 2pac vocals from various albums. You end up hearing differing &#8216;styles&#8217; that 2pac has always had, all rolled into one 30 minute listening. There is Untouchable, a track that featured Krayzie Bone (of Bone Thugs N Harmony), off\u00a0 the last 2pac album ever released.\u00a0 Originally that song was put together by Swizz Beatz, but this MF DOOM version kills it!<\/p>\n<p><em>Makavillain also <strong>features<\/strong> a track with both Biggie Smalls and Big L. (the song is Deadly Combination around 13 minutes in&#8230;)\u00a0<\/em>All 3 of these rappers left us far too soon, and we can only imagine how much heat they would have given us.<\/p>\n<p>Another favorite song of mine, personally from Pac, is &#8220;Do For Love&#8221;, which took the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/4DmOUtmGUAw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">classic Bobby Caldwell track &#8216;What You won&#8217;t Do For Love&#8217;<\/a>, and spun it. He took the &#8216;theme&#8217; of that song, and set it to a modern day relationship in his classic timeless writing style.\u00a0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.authorityhop.com\/home\/who-flipped-this-bobby-caldwell-sample-better\/\">speaking of Bobby Caldwell &#8211; who flipped this sample better?<\/a>)<\/p>\n<h4>Too many of us can still relate to this today &#8230;.<\/h4>\n<blockquote><p>I shoulda seen you was trouble right from the start<br \/>\nTaught me so many lessons<br \/>\nHow not to mess with broken hearts, so many questions<br \/>\nWhen this began we was the perfect match, perhaps<br \/>\nWe had some problems but we workin at it, and now<br \/>\nThe arguments are gettin&#8217; loud, I wanna stay<br \/>\nBut I can&#8217;t help from walkin&#8217; out just a little way<br \/>\nJust take my hand and understand, if you could see<br \/>\nI never planned to be a man it just wasn&#8217;t me<br \/>\nBut now I&#8217;m searchin&#8217; for commitment, in other arms<br \/>\nI wanna shelter you from harm, don&#8217;t be alarmed<br \/>\nYour attitude was the cause, you got me stressin&#8217;<br \/>\nSoon as I open up the door with your jealous questions<br \/>\nLike where can I be you&#8217;re killin&#8217; me with your jealousy<br \/>\nNow my ambition&#8217;s to be free<br \/>\nI can&#8217;t breathe, cause soon as I leave, it&#8217;s like a trap<br \/>\nI hear you callin&#8217; me to come back, I&#8217;m a sucka for love<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>I always loved the Original, but this version on Makavillain is a close challenger.<\/h3>\n<p>Beats from MF DOOM sound excellent on tracks &#8216;meant&#8217; to be a <a href=\"\/home\/?s=Daz\">Daz Dillenger beat.<\/a>\u00a0 It&#8217;s a Great contrast to hear how the final product turned out.\u00a0 Makavillain closes out with one of my first favorite tracks off <strong><em>Strictly For My N.I.G.G.A.Z<\/em><\/strong>. &#8211; Pac&#8217;s debut album.
