Just gonna say off top that the second verse sounds like Lupe but there are no credits released, with this single by Ye. The last week as of this review, Ye dropped several unreleased singles, and this is refreshing. He sounds like he’s just focused on producing music for the love of it. Truly this is what I hope some day, hip hop can return to.
Hip hop that is too commercial has become corny. Star Time takes us back to pure joy for the art.
Instead of making music cause of inspiration, music that hits on whatever topic, it’s suiting ‘agendas’. To me, this sounds pure.
Kanye, got several guest appearances on this track that mixes in some Rick James, and some Rock and even some Jazz – like I said, this is pure. 4 lit fires for the production, and the bars from Ye, Lupe Fiasco (? unofficially), Pusha T (certainly), G-Eazy, and a lil something from Anderson Paak.
